Our wonderful client has a beautiful historic bungalow style home. She loves modern details, but didn't want any design changes that would feel foreign.
Here we've opened up the space between the living and dining rooms by adding a linear fireplace and hospitality bar. The live edge table is custom made, along with the lighting.
Here is a small modern powder room. In order to create the most efficient space, we installed a bubinga wood counter top that cradles small sink and facet from wall. To the left, there is an opening for disposables. Mirror is completely custom and beautifully recessed in the wall.
The flooring is original to the home, however we tinted them to allow the imperfections to show and to integrate them with the new more modern elements. Stairs are new and meant to be linear in nature.
Upstairs we popped the top by adding a beautiful gable. This allowed us to add a graciously sized master bathroom and a full sized walk in closet.
